A few weekends ago we go to visit some local spots near NYC. This was our first opportunity to explore craft beer in the area and we weren't disappointed! For our first stop, we visited Singlecut Breesmiths. They are located in a residential area in Astoria.

They have a wonderful facility that is great for just hanging out, listening to live music or playing games. They feature several different events during the week, including live music and a BYOVinyl event every Thursday night.

The beers they create are very hop forward, and remind you of beers typically found on the West Coast. They also had a few stouts and specials on tap during our visit.

If you ever find yourself in the NYC area and have an afternoon or evening free, we would recommend this place as a good place to visit. It is the type of place that could sit for hours and just relax and enjoy the environment.
