TUPPS

This weekend on our small beer tour of Texas - we got to visit some hidden gems - one of them was TUPPS Brewery in McKinney Texas. We had first seen TUPPS in Target (of all places). We saw them and wondered how in the world someone local was distributing to Target but we had never been to visit them! We knew immediately that we would need to remedy that and make the trip out there. We were certainly not disappointed by our visit! In fact - we plan on returning and brining a crew with us to visit!

To start off- the atmosphere is a perfect "hang out" location. It is the type of place that you wouldn't mind going to spend the afternoon or evening. You could easily make it a one stop trip. The place is very artistically designed, with function in mind. There are plenty of seats, and plenty of areas to simply relax. The location is kid and dog friendly as well.

We got started with the beer by ordering a flight. I must say - they have the most efficient flight ordering process of any brewery that I have been to! You are given a tray that has clips and you simple clip in the different brews you want to try. This makes the ordering go so much smoother as you know exactly what you are being served when you get the flight back. It goes quick and it is clear - many breweries could learn from there approach to make things simpler!

They had a good variety of beers but hands down both Corey and I preferred the Black Ale. You can't go wrong though with any of their pours and they seem to have something for every style of beer drinker.

We arrived around 11 and things were just getting started for the day. We were a bit early and got the pleasure of hanging with the bar crew before things got nuts and great fun was had. The bartender was full of stories and antics that kept us laughing and generally having a good time. Around 1 things got pretty busy though and all hands on deck were pouring beers and keeping customers happy. We definitely recommend getting there on the early side to enjoy things before they get too busy!

They had a BBQ truck onsite and in talking with the team we learned that coming soon they will have food onsite full time. This is a great addition as beer lovers need snacks to keep going, especially if they plan to hang out all day.

The environment was fantastic! We could comfortably stay here all day long!
The bartenders were friendly and helpful. They wanted you to find what beer was best for you.
The art and character displayed was fantastic and highlighted the character of the brewery.
The beer was tasty!
They had a list of tasty beer cocktails!
